Who We Serve

Nonprofit Agencies, Faith-Based, Sports Organizations, and Tax-Supported Entities

Every day, nonprofit agencies play a significant role in the lives of Americans. For thousands of children, these organizations teach them communication, values, and the life skills they need. For the elderly, physically and mentally challenged, nonprofit agencies provide crucial services that improve their quality of life and help them continue to live with dignity.

In 1995, The Texas State Legislature passed a law granting VolunteerNow the ability to provide your agency with a complete criminal background check of applicants and employees. With the responsibilities our nonprofit agencies have, the need for the right volunteers and staff members is paramount. The Texas State Legislature agrees. The law grants Volunteer Centers access to complete arrest and conviction records – including juvenile records of those who deal with vulnerable clients.

By offering social interaction, life lessons and reinforcing valuable experiences, faith-based organizations and sports organizations play an important role in the lives of families, youths and individuals. So, along with putting together the plans for group retreats, Vacation Bible Schools, choir trips, soccer teams, t-ball organizations, and more, you should consider a risk-management policy that will keep your constituents safe.
